The referral of a specific investment product directly to investors.
Tessera will also work to:
- Identify both potential and active searches through contact with prospective investors, consultants, other investment managers, introductory meetings, conferences, clients and trade publications.
- Manage the search process by ensuring that all RFP's and other requested materials are submitted on time and accurately reflect the manager's product.
- Clarify the manager's qualifications for the search.
- Schedule a series of presentations including on-site due diligence meetings, semi-finals and finals presentations to further the manager's chances of success.
- Create new materials that effectively explain the manager's product and approach. Materials may include presentation books, quarterly updates, one-pagers, and competitive analyses.
- Help to negotiate contract terms for new accounts when appropriate.
- Solicit feedback from prospects to understand the reasons why the firm did not win a particular mandate.

-Calls to Tessera's contacts to introduce the manager

-Use of email marketing software to send out product updates and reviews and monitor effectiveness of each campaign.
-Conferences and other networking forums
- Design and implement a sales and marketing plan tailored to each manager's needs
- Identify a list of prospects that include the manager's strategy in their current allocations
