Financial Intermediary Relations

On-going sales, marketing and relationship management for an investment product to Consultants and other Financial Intermediaries such as RIA's, BD's and Wealth Management Platforms. Tessera's goals are to:

  • Identify, develop and manage consultant relationships
  • Oversee all aspects of interaction with decision makers
  • Represent the manager and its products to a variety of financial intermediaries likely to invest in the manager's strategy
  • Educate research analysts on manager's investment processes
  • Provide the managers with feedback on:
    - Acceptance of their investment strategies
    - Research approval status of their products
    - Changes in industry trendsthat may favor or disadvantage their products
    - Information relating to existing or potential clients working with that intermediary
    - Current search activity being conducted
    - Peer group ranking, when applicable

A successful Intermediary strategy involves building and maintaining relationships with research analysts field consultants and senior advisors as well as with other key members of these organizations. Tessera's approach will focus on the following:

  • Manager Research
    - Detailed product review meetings
    - On-site due diligence meetings
    - Research discussions
    - Current Searches
  • Field Consultants/Advisers
    - Overviews of firm and strategies
    - Contact regarding client specific issues
    - Client portfolio review meetings
    - Upcoming and Current Searches
  • Investment Committees
    - Understand the constituency and decision making approach of each committee
    - Prepare before the meeting by understanding any hot-buttons or controversial topics or questions that may be asked
    - Highlight competitive advantages the manager offers their clients
    - Explain how their jobs will be easier by hiring the manager

  • Follow-up
    - Aggressively work to maintain firm's visibility with consultants
    - Create brand awareness throughout organization
    - Continuously send materials including product reviews
    - Report any important announcements relating to the firm
